Get Involved
Volunteer
Many ways to get involved and make an impact. Find what suits you best!
Why Volunteers Matter
The Connors PTO is a 501(c)(3) non-profit run entirely by parent volunteers. That means we can’t do it without you. No experience necessary and no minimum hours. Give whatever time you have, and every bit helps. The best part is what you get back: new friendships, a closer school community, and a front-row seat to your kids’ world.
PTO Liaison (PTOL)
One parent per homeroom who keeps their class connected to each other and the PTO.
PTOLs help build community, support and celebrate the teacher, and serve as the bridge between the PTO and homeroom families. You manage your class WhatsApp group, share PTO announcements and school reminders, and coordinate class holiday celebrations throughout the year.
Interested in being your child’s classroom PTOL? Email us by September 11 so we can get liaisons set before the year starts.
Current Volunteer Opportunities
Not ready to commit to a committee? Start here. These are the events looking for day-of help right now. Grab a shift, show up, and jump right in.
Flagship Event
Fall Festival
One of our biggest events and fundraisers of the year: a street fair with games, food, raffle, inflatables, and Coco Koala. The planning committee is set, so this one is all about day-of volunteers for setup, stations, and cleanup.

Three Weeks of Halloween
Halloween
The free Costume Shop, the K-5 Costume Dance, and the costume parade, October 14 through 30. Shifts are open now for costume sorting, working the shop, and every part of the dance. You can also bring snacks and drinks or sponsor the DJ. Connors alumni are welcome to sign up.
Volunteer Opportunities →Committees
Every committee is powered by parents who show up and make the magic happen. See what fits your schedule and interests.
Sign-ups stay open. Many of these events are months away, so tell us you’re interested whenever you land here.
Expressing interest is the first step, not an automatic spot. Committees have limited room, so we’ll reach out as we build each team.

Scholastic Book Fair
Help run our Scholastic Book Fair: setup, working sales shifts after school (typically between 3–6pm), helping students shop, and packing up. Fair week is March 1–5.
Milestone
Kindergarten Moving Up
Plan and execute all Kindergarten end-of-year celebrations alongside the PTO and K teachers: the moving-up ceremony (decor, refreshments, flowers, setup and cleanup), end-of-year gifts for students, and any other Kindergarten year-end festivities. Milestone
5th Grade Festivities
Plan and execute all 5th grade end-of-year celebrations: the class trip, the districtwide game night and dance (with other PTOs), the moving-up ceremony (June 17, 2027), and more. Each member leads at least one. The PTO Officers provide budget, guidance, and approvals, but the committee mostly operates on its own throughout the year and can include additional volunteers as needed. For 5th grade parents.
